Most say on a manual car (I have a manual) it is better to run the 26 diameter tires vs the 28 diameter tires. As long as I’m not making crazy power. My car dyno’d at 450 rwhp and 478 torque.

With this being said I’m looking for more of an answer from a person with personal experience with the 315/35/R17 tires and maybe a switch to the 305/45R17 (I know that’s a lot im asking for). Assuming you don’t have this experience and are just speaking off your build which I would assume has the 305/45R17 on them. (Let me know if my assumptions are wrong, dearest apologies).

I would like NOT to be the Guinea pig on this test but if I must then I must #MONEYWASTEDFORSCIENCE
Not sure what you’re running for front tires, but if it’s the stock LT1 front wheels then the diameter is 27.7”. Your new rear tires are 25.7” which is way too short. You need to be within ~1” front to back or Stabilitrak gets screwed up. Now if you bought new wheels to run skinnies on the front then you could probably make that work with a 26” front runner. That setup is fine for low power combos but no good once you start making big power (turbo, supercharger, etc).
