Well shooooooot. I was aware of this thread but just kind of chalked it up to internet talk. I swear the same talk was going on in 1998 after I had just bought a 98. LS1Tech said oil pumps were taking a shit left and right. I never had an issue with my 4th gen, still running the same pump.
I told myself I wouldn't worry about my 2018 until it was time to worry.
About a month ago, while driving my oil pressure went to 0 pretty much instantaneously. Shut it down, had it towed home, troubleshot a few things, and thinking it was out of warranty, figured I'd get to it between 100hr work weeks.
Meh, finally got it to the dealership earlier today and they are going to replace the pump
