Then there's Castrol as well

On the cheap end, Walmart Super Tech 5W-30 is Dexos as is Costco's branded oil. I've been running Valvoline 5W-30 for a while, just wondering if I've made a good choice. Thanks for any helpful advice from you oil analysis guys.
Your signature says you're driving a 2020 Camaro 1SS 1LE. If you're worried about the drivetrain warranty then the Owner's Manual recommends 0W-40 dexos2 oil. If it isn't available then 5W-30 dexos1 full synthetic can be used. Either way Valvoline recently reformulated their oils and lost their dexos rating so it wouldn't be my first choice. As long as you use a recommended oil you should be fine. Be sure to keep your receipts as proof that you are changing the oil and filter. I have a friend that had a drivetrain failure and GM wouldn't authorize the warranty replacement without proof that he was performing the recommended maintenance.
