Bought this diff for our M6 SS but sold car before I got around installing it.


I noticed when I changed my diff oil in my zl1 it was always clean not grayish or dark in color and very little metal on magnetic plug.


The SS however was always dirty from day one and it had the ominous groan at low speeds. It also had a lot of metal shavings on the plug aswell. I changed both cars diff oil every 3rd oil change around 12k miles or so. Last pm service i performed I noticed oil splatter on under undercarriage and the output shafts had some play where the zl1 was clean w no play. A tall tail sign the diff could possibly fail at any time so I bought this unit with the intentions to replace it but I ended up selling the SS and I have this new differential for sale.
