If your car is a 2018, it has the A8 and not the A10.

The latest transmission fluid (Mobil 1 Synthetic LV ATF HP, part number 19417577, blue stripe on the bottle and not black) that actually fixes the problem came out in Jan 2019 as part of TSB 18-NA-355, so unless your A8 was flushed with this specific fluid, it can develop the shudder.

The good news is that if you only have 2000 miles on your car, the flush will likely be sufficient. If a car is driven with the shudder too long, the friction material on torque converter clutches may be damaged and a new torque converter is also needed for a complete fix.

Yes, this sucks, but at least there is a viable fix that solved the problem for many, many people in this forum. Whether or not this is perfect or there are exceptional cases when even this doesn't help, I don't know, but the feedback has been overwhelmingly positive here for years.
