Number one rule of advice from someone who remembers the first time about 5 years ago, trust and listen to your instructor period. Mine had me taking some really odd lines around the track, which was his way of letting me learn how to drive off line to see you can still go fairly quickly and when the time comes for solo driving I know the whole track. Put you ego to the side. Pull down with the right hand, pull down with the left hand for corresponding turns. I did so much with my right arm I almost couldn't lift it that afternoon. Learn to look ahead, my instructor has drilled me like a drill instructor about that, keep you eyes up and down let your mirrors scare you. He/she will tell you when to give others the pass.
The first time was overwhelming for me, but the next time I came back, it was game on. Have fun and best of luck! I finally get to go to Roebling Road in November, it's been almost two years.
