I ran a new best @ Pitt Race, 2:00.63. Last full lap of the day. Car was starting to understeer as the RE71R’s where starting to overheat. I made a few mistakes also. Sub 2:00 is there. Only changes from last September were:
-Rebuilt the ZO6 front calipers and repaint
-New DBA ZO6 rotor rings
-Lubed the chassis mounts of the Z/28 front anti/roll bar in order to soften the bar a touch.
-Installed Vorschlag camber plates.
-Alignment:Took out .2* of front and rear camber to -2.2/-1.1 respectively. With the Vorschlags, I could easily get to -3.0, but it’s a street car first so I’m keeping the alignment conservative. Also reduced the caster to +6.4 from +8.0 ish. Front toe in about .060” (I like the feel of toe in), and I took some toe in out of the rear, now at .055” toe in.
Car is moving away from understeer and felt great.
