I ended up closing the deal and giving a deposit. We settled on 43K, which was $8905 off. In the end I could have kept up the hunt and saved a little more, but at some point your time is not worth it. I do think you're right, the bottom for a 2ss is 42/43K and a 1ss 38K. What amazing deals on these great cars.

We are fedex'ing paperwork back and forth this week, doing a wire transfer, and hope to ship it by the end of the week and have it before the New Year.
