You can argue about classing forever. Ultimately, there are winners and losers. Winners build cars around the rules. You also don't want classing so unique that the car count per class goes less than 5.
The 6th gen Camaro is extremely competitive SS or ZL1. Chevy made the car comp capable out of the box.
