Problems with the Wicked SS

I dropped the car off to get the hood painted and on the way, something really bad was happening. It felt like the car was going over speed strips. It just wasn’t right. I almost turned around and took the car home.

Well, today I got back in town and picked the car up...driving home was horrible, but it definitely didn’t feel like the problems were in the transmission or converter, but it felt more like it was an empty miss. It felt like the motor wasn’t firing when it should.

I logged the car driving home and sent to Ted. From the log he said it looked like I had a bad spark plug on the driver side.

Tonight I went through and changed the plugs, took it for a spin and still horrible. Right as I was about to call it a wrap we tried taking one more look. This time from a different angle, we saw a spark coming from the spark plug wire.

Went out and swapped the wire...bam, Wicked SS is back in business.

Lesson learned...need to get a sleeve to guard against the headers burning the wires.
