They say Courtney Force was only able to get a 7.9 eighth mile (stock rubber, but on a real track). That's certainly not stellar. Equals mid 12s if you use NHRA conversion factor.
Normally magazines are able to beat manufacturers times in 0-60 and quarter mile. I've yet to see anyone even really tie the numbers released by Chevy. Someone at team Camaro needs to start working with the magazines to make sure they are actually using the right settings. Launch control with the right RPM and slip factor or some other feature the magazine folks aren't setting could be holding them back. But to be a second slower in the quarter (estimated from that 7.9 eighth) than what they claimed is wayyyyy to slow.
Motor Trend got better quarter mile numbers, but nowhere near 11.4. Come one Chevy, get on the ball.
