OP....

My view...from a '15 Z/28 stock to a stock '18 ZLE

The Z/28 motor was a great N/A powerhouse. For 99 out of 100, it has more than enough for the street, but obviously a lot less for tracking.

I liked the Torsen/3.91 rear end in the Z/28 better, but so far, the electronic/3.73 in my ZLE has not give me any issues, though for some it has. The close-ratio M6 in the ZLE is, IMO, the best ratioed, smoothest shifting, factory installed trans I've ever driven...The Z/28 should have used it instead of that 2.66 1st gear mess...All those folks that want an A-10...well good for them...it's a matter of likes and dislikes.

The suspension in both seem mostly identical, but I believe the chassis is a bit stiffer in the ZLE, and it's handling seems to me to be a touch crisper. Both cars can be stiff for most for daily driving, but I personally love a stiff car, so that is a wash.

The carbon fiber brakes were awesome in the Z/28, but I have not noticed any less braking capability with the steel rotors on the ZLE.

The absolute fantastic creature comforts in the ZLE vs. the Z/28 are the final topper for me. Cooling/heating seats, Nav, a bluetooth system that works great AND!!!! actually plays my music from my Android. An HUD, PDR and all in a car that weighs the same as the '15 Z/28.

For me, it was a simple choice.
