ZLE goes drag racing 12.156 @ 120.39

We had a few weeks between autox events, so we squeezed in a visit to local-ish drag strip ( Island Dragway in Great Meadows, NJ ). Fall colors really make valley look quite colorful.

Getting off line is even more difficult than autox, clicked off best run of 12.156 @ 120.39, with best MPH of 122 n change. Squeezed in 11 runs, some notably terrible where prudent decision was to let off and coast and try again.

Only mods: tires ( 285 PS4S) and MRR 716 wheels.

60' - 2.140, the best of the day a 2.111
330' - 5.446
660' - 8.078
mph - 96.90
1000' - 10.281
1320' - 12.156
mph - 120.39 pretty sure this run was in sport mode w 2-click on traction button

Rest of runs where in low 12's, mid 12's, some 13's a 14 and 16 where shift to second produced a code brown unwanted change in direction!

On the way home, killed it on mpg, 24.4 !! And these cars are geared kinda stupid for highway, 3K rpms at 85mph. About half tank of gas and two car seats in the back. Tried launch control, it sucks - it really should hold throttle open at that rpm until car speed reaches wheel speed + some slip. Idea is there, execution kinda sucks or.. dont know what I am doing with it - also possibility.

Despite all wheel spin off the line and pedaling to keep it going in right direction, No Lift Shift was great - really liked how smooth you can row the gears without upsetting the car.

No burnouts, just quick scrub of the tires on couple of the runs, didn't seem to make difference, track felt like it was launching on polished concrete.

Fellow autox'er ran 12.1 at 118 mph. 1.8 60' in his 991.1 C2S Manual Trans.

Not bad way to spend couple of hours on a Saturday. Bonus for some fantastic roads in the area. Just not the road leading to the drag strip - that shit is 1:1 scale of the moon, craters n all.
