The 1,473 miles is crazy! If you drove it 100 miles per year, you’d have more miles on it. Somebody must have thought “this is one to keep” (and they were kinda right on that).

It's clear that the owner rarely enjoyed the experience of driving it over the past 24 years. Also, even if the dealership paid the owner what he originally paid for the car, that's 24 years of $25K invested without gains on it.
Basically, all that was accomplished, was preserving the car for the next owner. It sorta seems like a waste to me.
