I used autotrader to find 2 used 2017 Camaros with the lighting package.
Each one was at different dealers. I went to see them "back to back" and
checked out the door and center cup holder led strips. I didn't ask to drive
either car.

During the day the colors were much easier to see by looking at the center
console cup holder led strip.

2017 2.0T RS model had the deep blues and deep reds exactly like my 2017 V6 had.
2017 V6 RS model had the whitish blues and whitish reds exactly like my 2018 V6 has.

For the color red, the 2.0T was a deep blood red and the V6 was a whitish red
with a slight pink-ish hue in comparison. No it's not pink but compared to
blood red it had a different and lighter hue to it. Both dealers were right next
to each other (used car lots) so I literally walked from one lot to the other with
very little time passing between looking at each car.

So I confirmed my memory of the LED strips being different. GM must have
multiple vendors for their lighting parts. The fact that the 2.0T door and cup
holder LED strips were both deep blues/reds and the V6 door and cup holder
LED strips were both whitish blues/reds suggests maybe the control module
is the factor in all this? Or the 3 LEDs strips were sourced from different
vendors for each car?

I'd like to figure this out but if I call a dealer parts dept they won't understand
what I am talking about unless I had 2 cars parked out front to show them.
Then they would probably say "Gee I don't know... They are different but who cares"
I don't like the Reds and Blues of my current car so if I can nail this down
I could shop ebay for used parts.
