Open style printers can definitely print ABS with factory extruder and a glass bed. I’ve printed half a roll of ABS and I’d guess over 30 items (some 11 hour print times) on Ender 3 Pro first version. Also went through 2-1/2 spoils of ABS on Ender 5 Plus also with no issues.
If you’re serious about 3D printing and have never done it, hop on Teaching Tech’s YouTube channel. Plenty of information from him on this and many topics.
