problem with the Carbotech pads ,imo, is the longevity .They didn't last more than 3-4 events also the initial bite is not as good as the Raybestos . That being said, some people prefer the oem-like feel of the XP12 (or XP10s ) and claim they can better modulate the brakes because of that. In my case, I think more is always better when it comes to stopping power and brake fading never becomes an issue with more robust pads. It is really important to match the pads with the tires also, when I had my C6 GS I mismatched the pads (ST43s with the PSS tires) . Ice mode becomes an issue immediately
