v8 here. at 20psi I was getting spark blow out at .028. I took them all the way down to .020 and that fixed that problem. then above 6500 rpm I was getting a hard miss and that was valve springs. I had good springs but they were not installed at the correct height. once they were shimmed properly that problem went away.
