The edge of the pad will appear slightly white. If you do it on track it happens almost automatically. just be careful because the stopping distances will be longer until the following session. Burnishing the brakes is much more important with carbon-ceramic rotors like the Z/28. Either way, it's a useful procedure and will help braking when the time comes to take the car on track
