not to mention that car easily being down 4-5 mph for the mods. do you have a dragy? record a pass at that track and compare the data.
on a bad pass where the car spun A LOT, my 18 ss 1LE went 90 in the 1/8 and still managed to go to 124 in the 1/4.

Cars in general that spin a lot out of the hole trap higher MPH than that same exact car getting a super good bite and no spin. The spinning vehicle traps a little higher because the ET is slow or because it takes longer to get to the end of the 1/4 and more time to build speed. I have had a good running Chevelle that would run consistant 11.6s with only a 116 trap speed. I always said the car is quick, but not fast. Another good example, my current LT1 on OE runflat allseasons 12.07 -119.8mph, much better hook on a drag radial, 11.6 -120.6 mph . .21 quicker 60ft, .4 quicker to the 1/8th, .4 quicker at the end of the 1/4 and only 1 MPH higher ET. Same track, same lane, same car, me driving.
Quicker because I did not spin at all, but only 1 MPH faster
