No, it isn't as the SS and RS models both come with LEDs, so swapping the red OEM tail lights to the dark version is plug & play with no need for resistors and/or resistors.
ThePandaSmuggler's car needed one as it didn't come with LED tail lights (he owns a non-RS/non-SS car).. so his turn lights were common bulbs.
