However, for anyone who has their rear window/top fail slightly out of warranty. Take your car to the dealer to have them diagnose the issue, wait for them to deny coverage, and then get in touch with the regional GM service representative or GM corporate service advisor and explain the situation to them. I did this a little less than a year after my warranty expired, and I got GM to cover more than half the cost. The repair was $2500 and after negotiating I only had to pay $1K.

Thanks for sharing your experience. That some owners never experience the window separation, and others, like you, have it happen repeatedly suggests environmental factors. Was your Camaro exposed to a lot of sunlight?
