That might not work on the 6th Gen Camaros because the A8 cars have hill assist now too. I guess you could check to see if the yaw sensor is the same part number for both A8 and M6 cars and compare to the part number to the 5th Gen.

I haven't driven a 6th Gen M6 but I found it to be an annoyance on my 5th Gen M6. The other thing I found annoying on the 5th Gen is that when Hill Assist activated it displayed a very brief warning that went away. If you were on a gentle slope and weren't looking at the dash when the warning popped up then it was easy to miss it. Then you had to guess if it was on or off when you pulled away. I think it could have been implemented better on the 5th Gens.
