The Mustang GT500 was a closer consideration for me than the Dodge. What turned me off about the Mustang is how much more dealers were asking over MSRP and the fact that it had such a small gas tank. Add to the fact that you cannot get it with a manual transmission, and that was that.

The Redeye/Hellcat was also marked up to crazy amounts over MSRP and only had better HP numbers to speak of, which don't necessarily translate to better complete performance. Sure there is also better visibility, but I just need to see what's in front of me.

If I needed the car to be a daily driver (which would have me questioning a manual transmission) then that might make me reconsider. But considering this may be the last ICE that I buy, I didn't buy it as a daily driver but as an engaging driver's car whose days are numbered.
