I've see a ton of new vehicles over the years with bad batteries from right off the Line.
I'll try that. What was weird was that when it happened, the battery looked normal. i'll upload a pic of the car when it started running and the RPM gauge was dead.

EDIT: here's a screen shot of my attempt to take video when driving to demonstrate the traction light, dead RPM gauge, and normal battery. At no point was it below that mark it shows here.
