There was a post here about how Mary Barra killed Z/28 development with the LT3 400 HO.
It looks real bleak for the Camaro now. 2023 isn't too far off but far enough for things to shrivel up and die sales wise if new blood isn't injected (LT5).

Just as a reference - the Mustang is in the same boat. There is no current 7th gen being worked on to replace the S550 and they have rumored to carry the S550 as long as 2026. GM could do the same, and even add an LT5 6th gen hopefully by 2021 to keep the 6th gen alive a little longer.
