The wrap is no more durable than paint; it chips and nicks just like the paint does - plus the hood color will show through if the chip doesn’t go through to the primer or bare metal. If you want real protection instead of a polka-dot hood (there’s no way to touch up the chips in the wrap), the wrap needs to be protected with a paint protection film like Xpel Stealth, which has a satin finish.
