It reminds me of a friend of mine who used different day, driver, and location test of the ecoboost Mustang and V-6 Camaro to say that they performed about the same. Motor Week and a few others did a joint test and on the same day at the same drag strip with what should be the same drivers the cars performed as such.
ecoboost Mustang
0-60: 5.6 seconds
1/4mile: 14.0 @ 97MPH
V-6 Camaro
0-60: 5.4 seconds
1/4mile: 13.6 @ 103MPH
It just goes to show how important same day, driver, location test really are and not just for dyno runs.
