The complete truth is probably as elusive as hairs trimmed off a unicorn's tail, I conjecture that every A8 will develop the shudder over time, but depending on the characteristics of the new fluid and the state of the converter when it's flushed, this may either be pushed out far enough to be beyond relevance (say, 250-300K miles), or the shudder may return much sooner. Happy to be corrected by someone who actually knows the intricacies of the A8.
Definitely think the same, just wish GM would do some more effort. I can tell for sure if another family member of mine had this issue they would chalk it up to noises and never get it checked. I get that there’s probably things behind the scenes that we don’t see but still sucks to be on the receiving end ya know
