Advice for cutting valve covers

I'm doing a 2650R swap on my ZL1 and I don't have access to a bandsaw to cut the valve covers.

Any advice for something else I could use and not make a mess of it? What did other folks use to cut theirs?

I could buy a bandsaw but it would probably be the only time I ever use it. I also considered just buying new lower profile covers, but I was wanting to stick with the OEM baffling under the assumption it might be better than aftermarket (+ it's cheaper to keep them or buy a bandsaw).

Thanks
