Had the 4 year old OEM battery replaced this week. Voltmeter was reading 15.2v even after a 30 mile highway drive in 6th. While it's true that the voltmeter is showing what the alternator is putting out, it should drop to 13-14v range after a few miles if the battery is in decent shape. I drive at least twice a week during the winter...easy to do with a bit of planning to avoid wet and salty roads.

Load test at the dealer showed 27% charge, with 29% maximum charge. So just like tires, batteries should be periodically checked, and replaced before they fail.
