I used to avoid ethanol too. I must admit I don't know why.
Now I only use Petro Canada 94. Shell 91 when not available.
I asked the question some time ago on the american side of the forum and the answer was between 100% pure 91 octane and adequate mix of gazoline and ethanol at 94, it's better to get the 94.
