Sorry , but when I installed the box in a bose system ss2 I had no problem at all with the installation . The holes you need to install the box through are there and can be accessed. I have the speakers on the back deck and it all clears with no problem at all . To get the bolts through the deck panel to mount the bracket take a long plastic wire tie or some mechanics wire and attach it to the threaded end of the bolt with just a little tape and feed the other end down from the top and just pull the bolt through the hole and while holding the bolt with needle nose plyers you can remove the tape . once you slowly feed the bracket over the threads you can then start the nut .
