As undate, the wheel completely blew up on one lifter. When the car was new, and cams were just coming out, I had a whole thread on the LS valve train wars. I said then and I say now, I don't like cams for street use 100,000+ miles that have over .600 lift.

Even the new lifters I ordered the vendor says:
The Johnson 2110 Slow Leak Down lifters have became one of the best aftermarket "drop-in" style lifter on the market. Used in the Copo Camaro, these lifters are race and street proven!

Not recommended for more than .630 lift and 420# open spring pressure
Designed for engines not using DOD/AFM
Set of 16 hydraulic roller lifters

To be honest I don't remember the lift of my cam, it is close to .635 either way the LS7 lifter should never be run and the Johnson is iffy at or above .630. Smallest TxSpeed cam that I know of is .635 lift.

So for my next build I'm leaning toward cam motion:
Grind Number: XA222/345-XA238/340-16+4
Hydraulic Roller Camshaft
Street Performance
Duration at .050": 222/238
116 Lobe Center Angle with a 112 Intake Centerline
Lift with 1.8 Rocker Arm Ratio: .621"/.612"
Recommended Displacement: 6.2 Liter Engines
Cylinder Heads: Gen 5 LT

or custom spec my own from them with
.588 / .588 lift cause I think I'm done with above .600 lift cams. I may go down to a much softer spring, something with 360 lbs open. Maybe one with a NA LSA so I can get the lope, yes this is NOT a performance mod, so don't get going on Oldman runs a 112 LSA cam (almost Hot Cam spec) on his supercharger cause he is senile. I want a lope and I want 100,000 miles before I even think of working on the valvetrain again (probably will still change springs ever so often).

Thoughts? Maybe I'm just unlucky, but after the LS1 to LS2 valvetrain issues where I literally broke ever part of the valve train at one time or another. I should have errored on a conservative cam and yes a way better lifter. Funny part was I was going to put the forged short block in at the beginning of summer and would have probably never run into this. My cam change started with me wanting to install a VVT compatible cam on a whim and just for practice... but I stepped on the banana peal of well I have a new supercharger cam just sitting here, and the heads are off being ported so um why not??
