With 84% of the cars rolling off the production line needing repairs, there is a strong likelihood that Model 3 is the lowest quality mainstream car ever produced. This kind of yield for any other company would only occur during prototype stages. What this abysmal rework rate indicates is that Tesla is not taking the time to fix the problems and stabilize the production processes before ramping production.

Good article, but,...meh....A lot of reasons they should have quit a long time ago, yet hasn't happened....The primary thing that will put them out of business will be a lack of customers....

No JD powers initial quality awards?...lol...OMG...the horror!!...Imagine how great sales would be if the Tesla had a bunch of them....Wait, Chevy does, how's that working out so far? No GM cars have any issues after all their many years of experience?....Tesla has paint problems??? Stop the presses....where have I heard that before??...and during production, of all things...lol...

Is Tesla perfect?....Hardly. The baffling part for the hopeful trainwreck watcher fans is that all the reasons they should be dead and buried just aren't having the desired effect. Darn it!...oh, well...Imagine the shock if they actually had some real good news to offer. What then?...

Stay tuned, I guess....
