i think the extra clearance comes from a difference in bracing on the underside of the hood, i don't think the cowl portion is any taller.

with regard to the btr manifold, i am giving serious consideration to having a machine shop make me some different runners, geared toward a max 7800 rpm na application. i think a runner similar in length to a hi ram, maybe a touch shorter, would do very well.
