Actually the term "Flow Forged" like the one HRE uses does not mean it is cast. The barrel of the wheel is forged and the wheels are considerable stronger than a conventional cast wheel.
Also just because it is a ZL1 doesnt mean it has to use a forged wheel. Plenty of GM vehicles making the power the ZL1 does and come with cast wheels from the factory. Most of the Corvette wheels are cast until you opt for the forged wheels.
I will trust my HRE FF01 and FF04 wheels just as much as I trusted the stock 1LE wheels.
