Its not just about the dealer. If something major breaks in the powertrain, GM REQUIRES the dealer to send a log report of the computer. This in turn WILL show the ECM was flashed. More than likely GM will deny the warranty claim, hence the dealer not making the repairs. Its a gamble really. I did it on my 2013, but thinking its not worth it to me on my 16. There are way too many issues popping up on the early builds, just dont want to loose my warranty at this point.
