The 1.74 supercharger continues to be improved upon as the years go by. However, there’s no denying that the 2.3 or larger supercharger is just simply more efficient. Don’t fret too much about the numbers, worry about how you’re getting there. The 1.74 has been stretched to over 800whp but the 2.3 will reach that number easier; with the 2.65 even easier than the 2.3.
For me, I’m very likely going to stick to the 1.74. While it came stock on this car, I was eyeballing it like crazy when I had my Camaro. Now that I own a car with one, I realize that it’s absolutely plenty for me so long as my goal is ~750whp or less.
