Is it that sensor? Or the steering wheel? I had squeaking and kept thinking it was the dash. It turned out to be the horn and cruise control panels squeaking.
If you can pop that off without damage, throw a strip of tesa tape under it. if you put tesa tape and felt gromets all over the car. It will be as quiet as a Cadillac.
