Good story... I rarely go over 100 on public roads, but once when I was younger and more foolish... I did a sustained 140-145 for awhile with the top down in my E46 M3 on a nice road through Death Valley, you could see the empty smooth road ahead for miles.
My ZLE has seen 160 many times on the front straight at Auto Club Speedway.
