Personally I wouldnt want AFM on the M6/M7 cars either way. I wish GM would setup the AFM as a end user option that could be turned on/off in the menu like some of the other manufactures do.
Then again I wish GM would get back to putting sportier programming in all of the transmission calibrations on their auto's as well. It is downright embarrassing how GM's auto's shift unless they are a performance vehicle. My 2016 Sierra with the A8 was horrid on the TCM calibration until I got into it and tuned it myself. The delay between up/down shifts was horrid and at times dangerous.
GM's powertrain and or transmission programmers could take some real lessons from Audi on how to make a A8 shift during normal and sport modes, it would make their vehicles way more pleasurable to drive.
