I love my OEM Splash Guards (other than when I installed my side markers per Diode Dynamics instructions.) Mat/Lethal’s way is easier/better if you have the OEM Splash Guards installed. If not you can follow Diode’s instructions. Super easy install.

That's my fear Adam.........Installing the Splash Guards, and not being able to "replace" a side maker down the road if it fails........
