I see your point about the thread, but if it weren't for this thread, I'm not sure GM would even be considering a fix.

From the very beginning I have been completely open with GM about the fact that this thread exists and that there's a group of people with the same issue that I intend to keep in the loop. The intent was to keep the engineers from being pestered by 100s of people instead of just me, and the engineers certainly had the opportunity to run all responses through their communications department. If an engineer would have asked me not to share a response, I certainly would have honored that request. I've been doing my best to redact names, etc. to protect the individual engineer's identity. The only name I have made public is Ron Kiino who's name, email, and mobile # is already on just about every Camaro/Corvette publication. It's his job to deal with the public, so I think that's okay.

I truly believe the Camaro engineers are good and honest people doing the best they can, but it's becoming very clear that this issue isn't a priority. It's been almost 2 months since I've received the last meaningful status update. Even if they need to vet all responses, I feel they could do a little bit better job at keeping us all in the loop.

I guess I'm not one to simply hope problems get fixed.
