The comment was that the S550 was developed with performance goals of BMW's and Porsches, they didn't name specific models.
The HANDLING was the goal to be increased, not necessarily quarter mile performance. Drag racing was not the primary performance metric that the S550 was designed to improve on.
It was also benchmarking against the C7 Z51 and a Porsche 911 variant, not just the Z/28..but why shouldn't they test against the Z/28 considering it was as good as it was.
They buy the cars that make them happy. A lot of them are Ford loyal, others dislike the Camaro/Challenger, etc. They have their reasons.
Feel free to go over there, I've never been a member there because I don't prefer Mustangs or ever intend to own one. I appreciate their history though.
And as for the Mustang guys that are here..I've not seen them have a meltdown and start insulting people based on their financial ability to afford a car, their intelligence level or other personal attacks.
