I know the A10 is better suited for drag racing, but come on... With ~190 more horsepower, the manual transmission ZL1s should at least be able to keep up... It should be embarrassing to GM that their manual transmission ZL1s can't launch.

It depends on the driver. Magazine testers have gotten the M6 ZL1 to do an 11.7 if I remember. The A10 has done an 11.4. My best was an 11.8 with my A10 but that was just rolling off idle, no launching, no burnout, stock tire pressure, no changes whatsoever. M6s are always gonna be harder to launch. The key tho is to look at your MPH. Trust me, you'll absolutely destroy a GT in a rollon based on your MPH.

Problem being the driver. A 460 hp auto equipped car will be far easier to launch than a M6 equipped 650 hp car. Look at the 13-14 GT500s. It has more power than the 17 A10 ZL1, it is lighter...yet the A10 ZL1 beats it by almost half a second. But if you're comparing your ZL1 to a GT and thinking your ZL1 is having problems keeping up then maybe you should be trading it in.
