Don't know why any of you guys would be surprised.

I've said it multiple times. Higher peak power, and a quick shifting auto transmission that will keep it firmly in the meat of its power all the time means this new GT will be basically equal to the current Camaro SS in a straight line.

If anything, I still give the SS a tenth or two tenth advantage b/c it will have slightly less weight, and better TQ...especially under the curve where the Coyote simply can't make the same amount of TQ.

Also, no reason to be butthurt, as the new GT is no faster than the current SS...but it has definitely caught up. Now its just gets more interesting.
