X pipe is a waste. First of all you only have 1 exhaust bank, the exhaust pulses are already merged at the downpipe. If you split the pipe and then merge it again, only to split it again, you are not doing anything but adding weight and cost.
I just had a new exhaust built for my Z a few days ago. 3” from the 3” downpipes, into MF resonators, 3” SS mandrel bent pipes back to twin 6” MF round mufflers. It’s a true dual setup. No crossovers or merge pipes. It’s freaking mind boggling that it has such a high flow exhaust and is not much louder then stock. I hope I can get the same effect with the Camaro when the time comes, otherwise it’s staying stock.
