I dropped my torx wrench doing the same thing. My blendmount keeps coming loose and I was playing with it for the 10th time. Had kept the L wrench in my glove because it comes loose so often. Fell and I couldn't find where it fell because it was dark. Next morning, couldn't find. It may have fallen in the same hole of doom.
