Just an FYI as it does seem like this could be something more people run into and maybe this story will save you an extra week or two of time spent in the shop.
My car just tipped 37.4k and the ac stopped working when the car was idling. Once you started moving it would work again. The tech said there was a blockage in the system.
First attempt: replace condenser for $1350 - problem still there
Second attempt: replace some valve in the ac system for $570 - problem still there
Third attempt: contact gm engineering support and they have 4 other cases on camaros with the same condition. Turned out to be the cooling fan. Another $840.
Just before this problem at like 36.5k miles I had a coolant line that was leaking and the replacement was $430.
My extended warranty has already paid out more than I paid for the warranty and I still have 62k miles to go.
